Welcome to 2020! Now that we are a week in, how are you doing with the Proverbs, prayer, and fasting challenge? Forgot? Just haven't been able? That's okay - just skip ahead to todays chapter in Proverbs and give it your best effort! Here's the original challenge from Pastor Rich:
I’ve been praying & giving thought to January 2020.
The result is that I’d like to call us all as a Church Family to two things:
1. 31 Days in January & 31 Proverbs. Let’s read a Proverb a day throughout the month and ask God to give us wisdom for the year ahead. Wisdom as believer’s; as households & as a Church Family.
2. Let’s all set aside Mondays as days to Fast & Pray!
I’d like to ask us all to participate with each missing a minimum of one meal & taking an hour to pray. Those who are able please fast for the whole day or for a large part of the day.
Pray & fast with the thought we need God more than anything & we desire to bear fruit for His Kingdom this coming year.
In light of this call, and the seriousness of it, the Pastoral Staff will be closing the Church Office on Mondays and participating fully in quietness, prayer & fasting.
I feel this will set the tone for us all to keep God at the Center of our lives & in the life of the Church Family. This is important!
Please don’t put this aside & think it won’t matter if you aren’t involved......we are all valuable members of this Family! Each of us does matter!!!
Let’s do this together!!!
I’ll send a reminder out just before the New Year but go ahead and mark your calendars now :)
Have a Blessed Nativity Season; find moments to be still and reflect...
